It happened last Thursday morning, 15th of October with a car heading north in Clarendon St East Melbourne hitting a city bound Citadis in Victoria Pde. Once again the propensity of the C1 to derail after a fairly minor collision is demonstrated. The limited body damage to both vehicles indicate that it was not a high speed collision. The large overhang at the front (pic attached) and fixed trucks make them very prone to derailment. Mal Rowe noting that one of the vehicles ran a red light.
