Brunswick tram depot update

Brunswick tram depot in Melbourne's north is getting a major upgrade. The old traffic office dates from the conversion of the cable tramway in 1935.  It has been extended and modernised. The first attached photo shows the rear view showing the extension including arched windows reflecting the original retained design of the frontage. The original traffic office is the red brisk building visible behind and above the new construction. Second photo shows a cable tram era yoke installed on the wall just inside the Sydney Rd entrance. The area in the foreground of the first photo will have additional car storage tracks and new exit tracks will go directly onto Sydney Rd through the space to the right of the emergency stair escape.
