Sydney Rd Brusnwick

Brunswick tram depot has a new track connecting directly to Sydney Rd. The new track is visible beyond the grey ute at left.  The crossover in the centre of the attached pic was relocated a short distance north to allow construction of the new access track. It will go into service on Friday morning, 4th of September, in the morning run out. This is part of a major upgrade for the depot with additional tracks installed on the south side of the original depot. More track is needed for tram storage when the Z3s at Brunswick are replaced with B2s from Essendon. Mal Rowe noting that the original cable tram depot access track was in the same spot.
