G class simulator

I participated in a tour of New Preston Depot and Preston Workshops this week, courtesy of the ARHS (NSW) LOG (Luncheon Outing Group). A new simulator has been installed for driver training on the G class.  It includes photo realistic simulation of actual routes and seat motion to mimic the effect of sudden braking etc as well as the ability to simulate situations like a pedestrian stepping out in front of the tram or autumn leaves on the track.
