My pic from a couple of months back shows outbound B2 2034 rising after running under the north east railway bridge at Essendon. The original single line NMET&LCo tramway of 1906 ran kerbside where the bicycle lane is visible behind 2034. Heading the other way is a bus on one of the longer bus routes in Melbourne - an orbital line that rums fro Mordialloc in the south east to Altona in the south west. It is Melbourne's busiest bus route in terms of passengers per day. Some friends about to leave Melbourne did a 'bucket list' trip over the entire route - over 5 hours including some pit stops along the way. Mal Rowe - not attracted to spending that long on a bus
