A nice sunny day in Melbourne attracted me to StKilda Rd to get some
snaps of Z3s while they are still numerous.
First pic shows 151 and 180 passing just south of the Arts Centre tram stop.
Second pic catches 176 at the same location.
I had never taken much notice of the statue visible at left.
Turns out it is Edmund Gerald Fitzgibbon who was Town Clerk of Melbourne
from 1856 to 1891 and then went on to be first chairman of the Melbourne
& Metropolitan Board of Works from 1891 to 1905.
The statue was "Erected by public subscription" in 1908.
Mal Rowe - who should take more notice.
