The tram recommendations start on page 37.

I have attached (from that document) a map showing the proposed extensions and a table showing potential passenger loadings.

  • The line up Spencer St partly follows the old cable tram route - which was never well patronised as it was an industrial area.  With massive housing re-development its time has perhaps finally come.
  • The Fishermans Bend line proposals are interesting. They follow a different route from earlier proposals - joining the system via Clarendon St rather than a bridge over the Yarra to Docklands.  The much promised connector along Park St South Melbourne appears again.++++
  • Chadstone and Monash come up again.  Last time it was sunk because the state government wanted trams and the Feds wanted a train.
